Musbury Melisande was the foundation bitch of the Twoacres Kennel, owned by Mrs June Coates. After being mated to Sh. Ch. Wendover Gentleman, one of the breed’s greatest stud dogs, she whelped the famous ‘T’ litter in January 1968. This litter produced four Show Champions – Twoacres Troilus, Twoacres Tamburlaine, Twoacres Traviata and Twoacres Teresa: the dual CC winner, Twoacres Triton, a Stud Book entrant, Twoacres Tosca and one more Stud Book entrant.

The two bitches, Traviata and Teresa won 7 CC’s and 6 CC’s respectively, as well as many RCC’s, whilst Tamburlaine won Best in Show All Breeds at Windsor in 1970. The dog, Troilus, was by far the most successful of this litter, winning 21 CC’s, 15 RCC’s, 3 Groups, a Championship Best in Show and Irish Setter of the Year 1971. As a sire, he is legendary, being Stud Dog of the Year, for three consecutive years, 1974, 1975 & 1976. He sired 6 British Show Champions and several Overseas Champions.
